How to Free Up iPhone Space with Quick Cleanup

Keep the memories you want while reducing the space their files use. Swipellio Quick Cleanup brings together tools for Live Photos, ProRAW, edited photos, bursts and videos, with an estimated saving for each available category.

Start with the category, not the saving estimate

The category summary shows what the scan found and estimated savings. You can inspect the scan and summary without Pro; entering category tools requires Pro. Estimates are not measured free storage, and the actual result can differ.

What the photo tools change

Live Photos keeps the still and removes motion. ProRAW converts to high-quality HEIF. Edited photos removes the hidden original while preserving the edit, so Revert to Original stops working for those photos. Bursts keeps one shot and puts the rest in the Bin; bursts containing a favorite are skipped.

What the video tools change

Video categories separate camera videos, screen recordings and downloaded videos. Compression produces smaller copies, and quality may drop slightly. Source dimensions are retained up to a 3840-pixel long side, with even encoder dimensions; larger sources are scaled down. Do not treat every supported video as having identical tradeoffs.

Copies first and originals in the Bin

A new smaller copy is saved before the original is put in Swipellio’s Bin. Each run appears as a single card you can restore as a whole: originals return and generated copies are removed. Review the outcome while that recovery path is still available.

Favorites and eligibility

Quick Cleanup categories exclude favorites. Eligibility is checked again when work executes. Some source types are unsupported, and a category summary does not mean every library item will be processed. Hidden videos are excluded from the Quick Cleanup scan.

After a run

Check the result, review the original Bin card and only then decide whether to empty it. Recently Deleted in Photos is another stage before immediate storage recovery. iPhone Storage can take time to update. Basic swiping stays free; these transformation tools require Pro.

Check before deleting

A left swipe only moves the photo into the in-app Trash Bin. You can restore it until you empty the Bin; a double tap undoes the last swipe. After deleting from your library, check Recently Deleted in Photos too. Permanently deleting from there cannot be undone.

With iCloud Photos enabled, deleting also syncs to other devices on the same account. Keep a separate copy of important memories before permanently removing them.
